Default x plan, ???

I qualify for the x plan, but the dealer i would like to buy from won't even gauranty me an 06 for spring under the x plan. March or april is the time i would like the car to come in, and would like input on how to go about securing an 06 under the x plan, without an problems?? I am willing to go out of state (Mn) to get one if need be.

If you 've found a dealer that will give you the X plan price, then go for it. A lot of dealerships are not honoring X plan. As for getting one "without any problems", I'm afraid no one can help you there. Be prepared for much nail biting and nashing of teeth

The dealers all seem to be treating the X-Plan differently. My particular dealer said they accept the plan but only applied to Mustangs or Escapes that were already on the lot. Which I have seen a total of two Mustangs since February on the lot that weren't already bought. Grab what you can, I only got mine at MSRP because it was a V6.

I was told by the salesman that he wasn't sure the dealership would accept X-Plan on the GT, so I wrote a letter to the General Manager and the General Sales Manager of the dealership. They wrote me back a very nice letter (email) saying that they would accept X-Plan.

My advice is to write the General Sales Manager. This way you have it in writing from him, just in case the dealership changes their mind in the middle of the year.
