Just curious what your wanting a shortblock and not just internals? Also why MMR?

/\ your correct. by the time your motor is pulled and the block is honed and reassembled, not much of a difference
+1 that's probably why, and depending on your area not all shops are competent enough for the build. It's still fun, and can come out pretty reasonable if you pulled the motor yourself
