Why is the shaker setup so damn expensive?
I've been considering buying here and there, but the one thing that always changes my mind is the price. Sheesh, we use our own damn hoods and the rest is pretty much plastic. On top of it, we all know well that there is no real gain on it other than appearance. Anyone ever bought a used one on here? What do they go for?

I tried to sell a NIB one here and others places for months and didn't get but one serious offer. I let it go last week for much $$$ less than I paid for it. I have to agree for what you get it's over priced.

I've seen a couple of used units go on e-bay a couple of hundred bucks cheaper. I'm biding my time until after the holidays and hope to find a good price on a new or used unit.I feel the shaker is cheaper than buying an aftermarket hood(with shipping) and having it prepped and painted which comes out to about $1600.00.

Rub it in : ) ,I've missed work a few days this last month or I would have had a shaker by now. I fell asleep(coma) for three days a couple of weeks ago and spent my mod money at the hospital.

well looks like either way its prob gunna be a next to last mod for me. Oh, and the donate thing is pretty much a joke. I got lots of inquires about it, but no donors. I didn't expect any, I just wanted to see what people said. Your the first person to really point it out on an open thread.
