my stripes ever since i bought my have had spots coming through that look to me like glue spots or something. lately its been getting worse so i took it to my dealer and since there not factory stripes and the dealer i originaly bought my car did a dealer trade to an out of state dealer for the car went out of business. they dont think they can cover it under warranty. its very noticable and very annoying when the car is nice and shinny and i have spotted stripes. wut the hell do i do now?

well, if they can't fix it under warranty, sounds like you'll be on your own...sorry.

I agree. Really only three options that I see for you.

1. Learn to live with it (I couldn't)
2. Remove the stripes completely (but that wouldn't look right since you have the side stripes)
3. Have them redone (and painted on, not vinyl)

You may be screwed, but clarify the sequence:
1) Out of state dealer put the stripes on
2) Your dealer did a trade for the car and sold it to you as new (with no documentation that the stripes are aftermarket)
3) Your selling dealer went belly-up
4) You're talking to an entirely different dealer about a warranty claim on aftermarket stripes that are bubbling
???
If this is correct, you're probably SOL. I'd like to hear others' thoughts on this, too.

You might have a chance.
Their site says they're "Proud to be Licensed By Ford Mo Co." That just means they can sell Ford stuff.
If you can get them (the decal manufacturer) to provide documentation that:
they sold the decal set to the dealer that applied them, the installing dealer had a certified tech on staff to apply the decals, the selling dealer represented the decal as genuine Ford and authorized by Ford Motor Company
Then you might be a big enough pain in the "new" dealer's a$$ to put new stickers on for you (they'll probably want you to pay for the decals and shipping).
I'm not a lawyer.
Let us know what happens.
I wish you lots of luck!

i have seen the spots that you are refering to on all 3 shelbygt's on the lots......they are a black car with silver stripes, and they all had these spots on the striping!!!2 were sent back to ford, and the other had to be redone.....i hope everything works out...wish i could be more helpful, but i know what you are talking about

I would just remove the vinyl then paint them on... more expensive BUT worth it IMO
