Steeda Pulley Install
I need a some suggestions for a shade mechanic. I tried to install my Steeda underdrive pulleys last weekend and couldn't lossen the bolt on the balancer pulley. I don't have access to a compressor and air gun; I'm trying to do it myself.
Any sugessions?

No its not worth the drive.... save youre money and take the 1 hours to do the job. Sorry no one else would answer youre question..
Here goes..
you can buy a flywheel holding tool. hold it and remove the bolt. OR you can put a socket on a 1/2 inch drive wratchet and put it under something hard... then you can snap the key and it will turn the engine over just enough to crack it loose... i do it all day long on toyota crank shaft bolts. Or you can buy a Chain wrench. hold the pulley with one hand and loosen with another... or have someone else there to hold one of them...
Also remember to read directions while putting these on... they have a new bolt to put in the alternator because it rubs the water pump pulley. MAKE SURE YOU put this in... K!
Its only 2 pulleys. So its not very hard. I was prety easy for me.

You can borrow tools from Auto Zone. They charge you a deposit when you pick them up and return it when you return the tools.
Here are instructions on how to do it http://www.stangnet.com/tech/pulley46.html

Odiaz.... Being a first gear memeber and not knowing about Mustangs im sure you posted that because you didnt know anything about the 05 Mustang 4.6 yet?
That site is incorrect... thats not how you do a 3 valve 4.6. Its different and you dont replace the alternator pulley because it acts like a clutch on the 05's.... Thanks for trying though.
