Default fresh paint .. how long to clean

so i just got my car back from the shop and i had them repaint the passenger side of my car. they told me i could wash it tomorrow just not wax it for 2 months however when i went to auto zone the guy told me i shouldnt even wash it at all except water for 3 months!! so i was wondering when should i start washing?

i got my bumper fixed and they said i could was it just not wax it and i did and i have had no problems just dont wax it

when i painted my car i only rinsed the car every 3 or 4 days I finally waxed it after a full month and its been fine.

i had a hood scoop painted and they said don't wash for about about 30 days and don't wax for about 60

***edit - i forgot to add when they said 'don't wash it', they meant don't power wash it

Tell the douche at Auto Zone not to give advices on shyt he doesn't know!

You can wash your car to your heart's content...
No wax for a couple of months though.

You can wash it with no problems -- Just don't wax it for a month and you'll be fine

Repainted Hood and Joe the Painter said it needs to cure for 1 week before hand washing, 30 days before power/car washing and 60 days before waxing. I'm tooooo impatient, and used Mother's detailer after a week and Carnuba wax after two weeks with absolutetly no problems at all.
