Default went to the dyno yesterday...

I was just curious to see what the lil 4.6 would put down on the dyno.... so i went to a GM performance shop on their opening day with alll my LS1 buddies. Wow lil scary huh! All i have is a C&L aluminum intake and brenspeed tune. The tuner laughed at it and said, "ill guess 245 to the wheels!" I said i think 285... Keep in mind this is a DynoJet, the best dyno and most conservative! I put down 288 hp and 306 torque! Not bad, does everyone have similar results with intake/tune and Pypes MM?

Congrats on the numbers! Still saving up to get my JLT/Brenspeed combo. Which tune are you running? Performance/Torque/Race?

Is that SAE or STD corrected numbers? SAE will give you about 4-5% lower numbers because the factor in the temp of about 76-77 degrees. Your numbers are similar to mine. With JLT, Magnpacks, Steeda UDP and Bamachips 91 tunes (race and tq) I put down anywhere from 296 to 298 rwhp and 306 to 309 rwtq. These are SAE corrected numbers.
About 2 weeks ago JBA performance had a dyno day. There where mostly mustangs there, but there where a few Firebird/Transams and Camaro/Z28s. Everyone got along. No trash talking.

ya the guy laughed cuz it's a mustang and the shop is called Orange County GM performance, or something along those lines.... lol!!! I was laughing so hard plus the dyno sheet says SAE approved so i guess the dynojet is SAE certified
