Your best bet to find the value is to check Kelly blue book online (kbb.com). Once you type in all the info. on your car it will give you some values depending on the condition of the car. Dealers will usually give you the lower value on trades.

18K was a great trade in on that one shoey because I've seen new GTs go for $22K on this place.

thanks. that is why i traded a 2007 gt in on a 2008 gt. no money down and same payments a month. i thought it was a no brainer too.
plus i got the car under a-plan so i only paid 23k for it 18 months earlier. plus put $8k worth of damage on it in a wreck. and the dealership knew about it.

Be careful when it come to trades. There are 2 major sources of vehicle value guides. NADA and KBB. KBB is notorious for showing low trade in values that help dealers rip you off. Try to use NADA if possible. Another thing to be on the lookout for is when the dealer says things like "Let me call Manheim and see what these cars are getting at auction". This is another attempt to steal your car from you. Do your homework and no what you want BEFORE going to the dealer. This is the best way to avoid taking it in the seat.
