Default 19" tires

I'm looking at some 19" wheels, and I'd like to know what size tires are comparable to a 255/45/18 front and 285/40/18 rear. By comparable I mean as close to the same overall diameter and width as possible.

The Parnelli Jones 5 spokes are an option...18 or 19"

19" just looks good to me. That's why I'm asking for some tire sizes so I can compare prices of 18" vs. 19" total package prices. If it's not too much more I'm gonna go with the 19's.

Hey there Tire....
Save yourself a bunch of grief here and Google to " Miata Tire Calculator " and you can visually play around forever with comparing various wheel and tire sizes ...!! It will be a great help !
I.E. Keeping same diameter.... fronts would be 255/40/19 and rears 285/35/19

I am also thinking about 19" wheels. I do not plan on lowering (due to my driveway), so to fill a little wheel gap I am looking at 245/45/19s and 275/40/19s. They are a little taller than stock - about a half an inch taller.

You can find tires in these sizes at the Tire Rack from $159 - $379 per tire.

JMO, best way to go if you are getting 19's and want to keep the overall diameter the same. That's why I chose the tires I did when going with 20's (255/35 front & 295/30 rear).
