Default Skipper 500/Dash Kit question

Quick question, I have an brushed aluminum dash kit on my 06, I did not install the piece over the radio face, so the radio face is exposed. My skipper 500 is acting up, so the question is will the dealer have to remove the dash piece around the air/heat controls and console to get the skipper 500 out and install a new one? I am trying to avoid ordering a new dash console piece. Than

it does have to come out, but it should not mess up the dash kit...

i have carbon fiber trim as shown here:

i had the cf trim when i still had my shaker in and i didnt have any problems at all when i upgreaded my head unit...if I of all people didnt have any trouble, a ford guy who works on these all day shouldnt have any trouble either...if he has trouble and scratches your trim, he should be fired!
