Sat.Antenna?

Default Sat.Antenna?

Is this the sirus sat anteanna on the trunk?
If it is has anyone changed it to XM?

Thats it but idk abuout switching it to XM

Some people have painted theirs tho to hide it a bit.

Ya I found it odd that Ford would put the antenna on the trunk.

Yes. It's the Sirius antenna. Sirius bought out XM, and you now can receive what they call "the best of XM" on Sirius. Might want to check that out on the Sirius webpage.

The antenna is a "satellite" antenna, period, and not specific to whether it's XM or Sirius

Very interesting at work a guy had Sirius and i plugged my Xm into it and could pick up a signal but maybe i will try it on the car tomorrow if i can figure out how to get at the back of the stereo.

The actuall antenna goes into a box that is in the trunk on the passangers side. You can by an extention to run to the front of the car if you want to use the existing antenna with a different unit. This is what i did as I wanted to be able to bring my Sirius between vehicles so i wanted a portible unit, but since the antenna that is on the mustang was bolted down I didnt want to use the new antenna and have a hole in my trunk. I got a 50 foot ext with build in amp for about $32 shipped, unfortunaly they dont make, or very hard to find shorter extentions.

i cant take a picture cause my car is in a garage two states away (im in college in ohio). its on the glass behind the rearview mirror, its a small black box with two small antenna sticking out.
