The good news is I realized it was getting loose before it came off completely while I was driving, so it suffered no harm.

I have the 3M tape to fix it, but now the weather has turned cold and isn't cooperating...so no more driving the Skunk until the window scoop is fixed.....I mean we do have a reputation to uphold...........
This is why I'm kind of reluctant in getting window scoops. Has anyone had a problem with the window louvers that you have to take out the back windows? I think they fit flush if I'm not mistaken.

I hadn't really thought about the blow dryer idea....I could do that. I just want the car really clean when I do it, and the weather has sucked so bad lately. Seriously, too, I am not driving this car with one missing either... !!! Just as soon as I get one more decent day, I'll wash it and I'll try the blow dryer thing.

I am not really sure why it started coming off.....I have strong suspicions it may have been "helped" along.....because I have had the car this way for nearly 1 1/2 years without one single problem. Of course, I could never validate that is what happened, but I wouldn't be afraid to put the scoops on with the 3M tape.

for the window scoops the one in my sig i think are pretty sweet but i've also been thinking about changing to Roush too. the only thing i dislike about them is how the screws used to place them are visible. and as for the side scoops.. i have Xenon's and i think they flow best with the lines of the car.

Thanks man!

For the tape, you will need to get 3M adhesion promoter to make sure it's the strongest bond possible. Also clean with alcohol before you apply it. Blowdryer isn't recommended because they want you to have 24-48 hours without extreme temperature shifts. Use a heated garage or wat till spring.

i was just looking at a kit at stage 3 motorsports. its made by xenon and they look pretty good. there like 580 for both side and window scoops prepainted. how do you think they'd look on a redfire and how well can i expect the paint to match the car

Yep i found that out last winter when messing with it. Just need a lil warm front and a couple 60+ days would be best for fixin it saddle. Hate to see the skunkster hurt like that and really hope someone wasnt trying to steal it. That would be a mistake if they were!
