My dad has a 2005 GT and we would like to know if the CDC actually adds any horsepower or is it mainly for looks???

It looks like to me that the air just comes out of the tube and "hopefully" goes into the air filter, especially with a cold air intake.

you can tie the tube directly into the intake whether it be the stock airbox or aftermarket intake. It really doesnt add any hp only lowers the engine temp a few degrees. They are cheaper than an aftermarket hood and clean up the engine bay alot.

However I'm one of the few people who don't justify spending $800 on something that really has no purpose other than looks, when I could put that towards headers or F/I

 

No gains, but they're cool. I'm planning to get one in the next couple of months when I buy the supercharger...
