there's two sites with the digital ballast that retro-solutions sells. The previous poster was trying to make the point that there are very few manufacturers of hid ballast. standmods and retro-solution are just reseller so you can find the same kits on ebay.

First link, they are an authorized vendor of DIGITAL HID, authorized by us.
The second link, definitely not the same product, for four reasons.
-look at the ballast case, notice no mounting tabs are built in.
-no serials and registration marks
-we do not offer ballast with just p32-d plugs
-they do not have a contractual agreement with our ballast manufacturers, our ballasts are not produced for any other company, and they certainly do not use our processors.
Actually you can find DIGITAL brand HID on eBay as well, BUT it is offered from us, as we are the only company that owns the exclusive rights to the DIGITAL product line. Any company offering our product is an approved vendor.
That is correct, there are MANY "manufacturers" available, although most are nothing more than trading companies as well, but a "vendor" gets what the manufacturer or trading company wants to give them. If there is a problem with the product the "vendor" just has to accept it or move on because there is really no control they have over it. On the other hand, we are contracted with 3 different manufacturers and have our own ballasts produced specifically for us using our proprietary processors. We control it.
Let me ask something. If our production costs of making a better product were not what they were, and we could sell at ridiculously low prices like the $29 eBay specials, don't you think we would? Where would the disadvantage be in moving more volume?
The explanation you offer is convenient, however it is not true. Its what most gimmicky sellers, and I use the term "sellers" loosely, want you to believe!

if you put in the 4300k lights they are almost a perfect white you might want to tip the light down a bit so you don't blind drivers. The stock housing spreads light around too much and creates glare. a concentrated beam is what you want hence the projector lamps. i got 4300k in mine and when i first got it EVERYONE flashed me and honked and swore at me. then i tipped the lights down a bit and now every now and then i get flashed. the higher K must not be as blinding... just some advice

Wow you are an uber dick. You're one of those guys that buys $40 special TV's and takes it back 2 months later because it died on you, NO S&^%, you get what you pay for. Yay for ignorance.
