Default Rear defrost discovery!!!

well i never knew it before but the rear defroster on my car will not work if the a/c **** is in the defrost position....

with the rear defrost button activated, i had to turn the a/c **** to the position just above the MAX A/C position and then the rear defroster would become active....

not that it matters since this morning was only the 2nd time ive used it since i bought the car, but is this the way its always been?

Yes.
I guess if the temperature is so that you need to turn the A/C to max., then you will not need the defroster.

not ON the max position, but the position just ABOVE the MAX position on the icon that has the person sitting with an arrow pointing to its face...

you'd think it would work even when you have the a/c **** on warm/hot defrost but it doesnt....

Oh ok.
I would expect it to work anytime, I have never really noticed it only worked with certain settings.

I thought it was bad to turn that on if you have tint?

i was thinking the same thing while reading the post. i heard it was bad from someone, but it came from an unreliable source so i can't really pass info. nonetheless i still haven't used it since my tint got put on.
