Default Stock number

i know that there's no way of knowing how many 2008's there are, seeing as how the numbers for the 2007's aren't even available yet, but when i first acquired my car, it read 08-1207. is it safe to say that my car is #1207?

just curious, thanks a bunch.

where did you get that number?
Your car's "birthdate" should be in the door jam. Upper left corner or bottom line

I found VIN decoding here:
http://mustangattitude.com/mustang/2008mustang.shtml

The sequential unit number doesn't mean the number Mustang your is, does it? My last 6 digits are 181585... had they made 181,584 Mustangs in 2002 & 2005 before mine?

wow, if it was a little over 4k in 2007, how many were built for 2009, when supposedly omly 45K total stangs are built????? And how many will have the glass roof, I know at least one other guy on here has it, but i'm hoping its a looooow number! But yea, I kinda want to know what the sequential number means, because I took my stang july 18th this year, and wish I knew when it came off the assembly line. Not that I want to be first, just kinda like to know every tiny peice of info on the cars we love!

I don't know what number mine was but I think it is an early number and I do know mine is one of 641 05 redfire GT's with a manual transmission and red interior.
