Smoked Lights
Hey guys, just wondering if anyone has sprayed or painted their lights as opposed to using the tinting film or covers. If so, what did you use and how did it come out? Something about using doublestick tape to mod my car that really turns me off.
VHT nightshades and Sherwin williams " Ultra Base 7 " aerosol clear coat.
2000 grit sand paper, lint free paper towels, water, rubbing compound , buffer and lots of time.. heheh

PM me if you need directions on how to. I meant to do a how to on this..
I have a second set of light I will do for someone soon, and I'll do the how to on those with lots of pics and details. Do it, you won't be sorry
btw, light comes through just like normal. It's the translucent paint that is called VHT

you won't regret it..
and btw, there are alot of ppl on this forum that will say the
" wlcome to the club of oh it's my fault in case of an accident "
but check your state limits on that. I live in florida and the law states that if light is visible from 250 feet at night and 200 feet at day you are good to go, and belive me you can see them from even further away..
Have fun and post pics.

Thanks for the PM. Sounds like some work but it looks damn good! I saw some other people also say that the light shines through as if it wasn't tinted at all. What do you think about using it on headlights/foglights?
