Default Super stiff clutch?? - please help...

I know ive somewhat brought it up but never got really into this. I have an 05 GT and the clutch is extremely heavy, wayyy heavier than my friends 06. I was wondering if there is anyone else who has had this problem and if there is a fix for it. and when i say heavy i really mean heavy. I looked down at where the clutch meets the floorboard and i was wondering if that little pump is gone bad or something (i dont know the name of it)?

Is it an aftermarket clutch? Most aftermarket clutches will require more pedal pressure due to the extra spring force provided by the pressure plate. Mine is at least 3 or 4 times as hard to push as a stock clutch. You will get use to it.

you might have a bad pressure plate. Take it to a tranny shop and have a pro take it for a spin.

My 2005 clutch was way stiffer than the 2007. It was like a tractor clutch from a 1947 Ford. The 2007 was so much lighter i almost pushed it thru the floor the first time i got in the car.

I think they just had very stiff ones in the '05 models and changed some things in the later models.
