Well I love my new toy, but I have come across about 3 things that are very bad. The biggie being there is like no way to lock the gas door or gas cap itself. This is really bad, considering I only had the thing for about a week and someone decided to bend the antenna and rip off the 30 day tag. I took it back to the dealer and asked them if they sold caps with locks and was told they didnt. Anyone know of any aftermarket part manufacture that I can get one from? also any other ways to protect the car? The anti-theft system is good, but only for the inside of the car it seems, nothing body wise or gas cap wise. Besides that and not being able to get the remote window roll down to work...I love it.

You could install an alarm and add a switch to the gas door.

Stant, Inc. has a locking gas cap for the 2005 Mustang. I ordered directly from Stant. The cost was $28.95/shipping. Ford has one listed, but can't be ordered yet. Hope this helps.

Yeah that is the kind of response I was looking for. While the others are funny...I am being dead serious. There are alot of haters out there, and aside from having the monkey....or the whole car electrified...I'd hate to have an investment ruined out of someone elses spite.

 

Ford does have a locking gas cap got mine froKevin at Clevenger Ford. I figure with the price of gas today why not be cautious.
