I entered two shows last year and won two trophies. The key is personalize your car and try to make it different and cleanliness. You should spend the day before the show just cleaning the car. Get into every noke and cranny you can find. Don't forget to clean behind the fuel door. Most forget that one.

how is it going to be judged, they should have a score sheet that tells you how they will be judging it. cleanliness is most important, i've seen nearly stock cars win just bc they were clean. pay attention to detail, where your towel cant reach use a q-tip, some shows even check for dirt under your fenders. some shows like bling, if imports are at the show then bling is in, but if its a muscle car or mustang show then bling will be less important.

All these factors is what will determent how you setup your car. Do your research first and once you find out what the keys to winning in your area are you can start building your car to win. A clean car that flows wins, flow is very important you don't want mods that look like you ran down to pep-boy's and slapped them on your car. Your mods should look like the belong on your car and add to the over all look of your car. Stick to one color set that matchs and don't go over board with it.

Good luck your your build
I absolutely agree! Also, make your car stand out from all of the others like it. People walk right past a row of cars that all look alike. Make it unique and one that people will stop to really look at and even take a second look at. I have many trophies from shows, and regularly hear the same thing, "it really stands out and isn't over done". Make sure you clean it like you have OCD! If your engine bay isn't absolutely spotless, don't open your hood! I see people do that all the time, open their hood to show off their filthy engines. Look at the fine details of what needs to be done. I remove all my wheels and clean the rotors and brakes for shows, and even wash the under carriage. It all matters.

^listen to scott and cutterwolf... as far as the sake of ur poll goes i voted for engine bay because honestly with all of the judged shows i've attended, the cars with a nice spotless engine bay and the hood propped up and always had a better chance at winning IMHO
