stalling
Ok, before I ask this, I have tried to clean my mass air recently and the problem returns. When it's cold, the idle surges from 400 to 1200 rpm and sometimes stall. It will do this at every stop light for about 5 mins until it gets warm enough. When it gets warm it will only idle at 500 rpm. Stock idle is about 700 right? Does anybody know what this is caused by? Is it a throttle position sensor? I have put the stock tune back into the car for the winter.
The next question is, if I take it into the stealership (I have the tune set at stock) and they put it on the scope, will they be able to tell if I have changed the tune and void my warranty? How exactly does that work?

my guess would be like you said, TPS.
As for the stealership and the tune...they will see your computer was reset but it gets reset every time the battery is disconected or dies, so just tell them you left your lights on the other day and had to jump start her?

OK thanx, for the computer solution.....I usually run in economy mode unless at the track, maybe this hurt it?
