A couple of places to start.
Top quality. I worked at a Harley shop as the Parts Manager and I never had a problem with their service or quality (I hope they don't make a liar out of me):

Browns plating is top quality and very durable, but tends to have a tinge of a goldish color. They've been around forever:

Check local bike shops, they may have a suggestion. The EPA has been closing down chrome shops left and right for a few years - extra in California where it used to be cheap.
Some are still around elsewhere ie. Tennessee or North Carolina. It's been about 6 months since I've checked.

Consider the Black Nickel that Meclec lists on their web site.

Let us know how you do.

If you have something chrome already you can paint over the chrome with clear tinted with some black . It gives the same effect. I did the chrome on my chrysler 300 turned out great
