Default MAC Boomtubes compared to Borla Stinger's.....

So I have had my stingers for about a week and a half and I think they are freaking awesome but..... I don't know if they are loud enough... they are awesome at WOT but I find myself driving at the drone range just to hear the sound.... they seem only slighty louder then stock... its weird I think I have just gotten to use to them... I was thinking maybe I need a new mid pipe which would def achieve what i want but i dont wan't to risk having emmision issues... so maybe i just need a different axle-back that is louder and from what I have seen Boom Tubes simply own.. Many people swear by them on this forum and from what I have seen in clips they sound very mean.... any opinons? Am I a complete idiot? Do the borla's sound alot better when your actually driving next to or behind them? I like turning heads in my car its almost my favorite part standing out from the crowd of all these stuffy Mercede/BMW/Luxury etc... car drivers. So far they don't seem to be doing that.... I don't know but that's why I need your input opinons please let them be heard =). Also if I did decide to change them I could probably trade the Borla's for some Boomtubes and maybe 150$... anyway look forward to your replies guide me =)

I love my Boomtubes. They are just loud enough for my taste. There are louder systems but I like mine the best.

Listen here.

Yeah I like what I have seen in clips so far.... this whole dilemna is because of frekaing California Emission ****'s if not for them I would have already ordered a Pypes O/R H by now but i don't want to risk it because it's def not worth the risk.. I would rather just go overboard on sound and have to pay a fix it ticket if anything.... maybe i will just save up and keep the Borla's and have both... having the Mod Bug in California is dangerous... especially when your favorite part of the car is the exhaust sounds... haha

The Borla's will get louder and deeper with time.
Just wait on them, it's a quality piece.

You could try a catted mid-pipe like the bassani
catted X if you are worried about emissions.

Hmm alright I have heard that they do change a bit over the first 3000 or so miles... I have only gone maybe 500 with them so ill wait.. as for a Catted X I prefer the H sound I was thinking about the MRT Catted H pipe but seems like only a handful of people have it on an S197... and they have the MRT Axle-Backs which I dont really like so I can't tell what they will do really...

I don't know if you've seen this before, but here's a thread about
the MRT catted H with Corsas and BBK shorties.

Wow that thread makes me think it is most defintely worth a shot... but even though it has cats will they still pass emissions? I dont know how they work exactly.. will they reduce emissions just as much as the stock ones?

Yeah they're definitely worth a shot. It's your only choice anyway
since you live in Cali and you want an H pipe sound and you can't
get Long Tubes either.

I'm not sure about emissions though, I think they would pass,
not sure though, maybe someone else will chime in with more info.

Yeah but once these Stingers are fully broken in if they aren't close to boomtubes I will def try them just to see I would rather not mess with the cats at all if i dont have to.
