Question AFE CAI

What do ya'll think about this cai i am trying to get rid of my C&l Racer cai for something that i dont have to flash my ecu with. http://www.americanmuscle.com/afe-cai-0509gt.html

That CAI probably works both ways. It looks like a decent unit. I have the Roush CAI and they give you a reducer to install in the pipe so you don't have to tune it.

im sure its a good unit but bbk you dont need a tune its probly one of the best nontuneable ones

You do need a tune for a BBK. Mine would throw a CEL everytime I
went over 3000 rpm. I took it off for the winter.

Hmm i dunno like i said i have the c&l racer intake right now and it is just sitting there i dont have a custom tune to use it so i dunno if i should sell it and get another one that i dont have to use a tune and when i get the money for a new tuner.

Dude... just find a used tuner on Corral, Stangnet, and here.. and spend the 50 bucks @ bamachips and be done with it ! You'll be happier in the long run ... TRUST ME !!!

Why waste the money on a CAI if you're not going to tune it? The gains on the S197 for a no-tune CAI are minimal and questionable in terms of reliability since you are still leaning out your A/F ratio.
