Default Really stupid steering wheel question

right now my interior looks like this (except i added the OEM Satin Aluminum shifter bezel and GT500 aluminum pedals)

ok, so i like the way my sock IUP steering wheel looks with the leather wrap and the satin aluminum spokes (whether or not either of them is real, they look nice)

BUT i like the feel of the Bullitt/GT500 steering wheel (i think its thicker, and has those "power grips")

so my question is, what would it take to get basically the bullitt steering wheel with the satin aluminum spokes?

because that would both look and feel awesome

Interior shop. A good one could do what you want, been talking to one here about doing the same thing Joo

On a side note, how much the OEM boot w/satin trim run ya?

Still not bad considering it comes with the boot, might as well go aftermarket for that price though. Thanks for the link!

try ebay I guess

i'd still go OEM, because it matches much better IMO

but yeah, about the steering wheel

do you think the best way would be to buy the bullitt wheel, and then have the interior shop take the leather off the 2 side spokes, put the aluminum from the IUP wheel on there, and then switch out the bottom spoke?

would that even work?

Possible, but seems more expensive. They add bolsters to seats, why can't they add them to steering wheels? Catch my drift on that? I'm trying to just have my stock on refurbed to more to my liking.

Great minds apparently think alike, Joo

the only reason i considered the way I poted is i am pretty sure the bullitt wheel is thicker

but then, i have no idea how the steering wheel is constructed (well, i have an IDEA, but i am not 100% certain)

i guess let me know what you find out, and the results if you get it done

and yes, great minds apparently do think alike

anyone else feel free to comment

i wouldn't mind having a steering wheel like that either, but there is no way under the sun i'd pay 400 bucks for the bullitt/gt500 one
