Post KR Hood Pin Latch Bracket

There's been so many questions about the brackets that the KR style hood pins latch into that while looking at a KR today, I had the salesman pop the hood so I could get some pictures for everyone. I don't know how something like this would work in relation to the Trufiber Venom Hood, version-3, but I can't imagine it would be too different.

As you can see, it's a very simple design.

Clever, they moved the hood stop to the out edge to free up that hole.

yeah, I thought the guy would say no when I asked him to pop the hood, but instead, said no problem and ran inside, grabbed the keys and opened the car all up for me and my brother-in-law. I had already seen one (a neighbor of mine that is also a fellow club member had his delivered just before Thanksgiving) but my brother-in-law hadn't...I can honestly say he wasn't overly impressed with it knowing that the selling price was almost $100,000 (on this one)..LOL

The trufiber hood will not work with that set up. The KR hood has the holes sliglty to the rear while the trufiber has them towards the front a bit more. Here's a pic of how I installed mine. It's really simple. I will get some covers for the sides so the bracket line won't show as bad as it does now..

But this is where the pins land on the trufiber hood at.

wow eddy, I was expecting something more than that...LOL!!

When you latch the hood to that wire, does it feel secure? Would you mind taking a picture of the underside of your hood, particularly where the hood pin comes through?

Thanks
