there are 3 bolts that poke out behind the carpet stuff inside the trunk on the side you wanna take off. I think its a 12 mm or there abouts take off the 3 nuts on those bolts and then push on the bolts while holding the taillight to pop it out. It will still be connected via wire so be careful not to stress the wires. just rotate to the left the socket of what bulb you need to replace and vwola out comes the bulb. replace it and put it back together.. ive probably pulled mine out like 10 times from painting and vht ing the rear tails... can probably do it in like 2 minutes.

You should disconnect the wiring harness before you remove the tail light assembly. That way you are sure not to damage the harness.

Also, check the turn signal fluid, and while you're back there, check your muffler bearings.

Turn signal fluid...where is that reservoir lmao. Funny Hardcore302. I should probably check for magical unicorns under my car while I'm at it. Might give me an increase in HP lol.

watch out or your mustang might grow a Unicorn horn and a rainbow might form under it if you don't change the headlight fluid in time

I would opt for the Sylvania 3157LL LongLife Bulbs
and replace them all while the housing is out.

Rear Lamp Assembly Removal

If you dont have sequentials, the inner bulb on each side is a 3057LL.

Well I just got some bulbs at Walmart. Sylvania Long Life 3157LL, that's what their little machine told me to get.

Be sure to check the auto manual to see if those are the right bulbs. The manual also tells you the step-by-step procedure on changing the bulbs. If you have any trouble changing them, just take your car to any auto parts location like Pep Boys or Jiffy Lube. It won't cost you hardly anything.

A little correction-- 3057 are the 2 inner ones. The 4 outter ones are 3157. The diff. is that 3057 is a single fillament and that's why it only functions as a tail light while 3157 also works as that and the stop light
