He can keep the hood without any problems at all....personally i think you should leave the car as is. Its an expensive upgrade and you car looks great as it is!

The money you spend on the hood buys you the cams and install you are wanting to do

I have always loved your car as is , you did a great job putting it together. It would look good with the conversion too .

FYI...your car is one of the reasons I bought the Cervini Type III chin.

He won't have any issues using that hood with a GT500 front end. The only issue is when you try to use a GT front end with a hood made for a GT500 front end.

Thanks. Yeah, it's a lot of money and I'm just kicking the idea around, but there isn't too much more to do with the car at the moment. I'm going to swap in a 5.4 eventually, so no heads, intake, or F/I for me (actually, I have been thinking about that intake lol). I think the hood will look fine with the GT500 front end. I don't plan on leaving it that way, but this way the up front costs wouldn't be as much and it would give me some time to gather my pennies for the Trufiber Venom 3 hood.

I've actually had the cams for about a month now, and I just received the tools that were on backorder...so hopefully they'll go on sometime soon.

Answering your main question, with all the recent Ford price increases, youll be looking at close to the 2 mark when you r done with paint & tax. Install is a breeze and a writeup on my thread. And lastly, your hood will look just fine and work perfect.
