Default High Flow cats

Quick question, I have heard that High flow catted midpipes can still trigger your CEL.....is this true? I would think that as long as they are plugged into your o2 sensor then they shouldnt throw a code. Anyone with experience? Was looking at the bassani catted x for my macs if the springs dont work out. (need to wait til spring to see if it will clear driveway)

I also have Magnaflow free flow cats and have never thrown a code in 3 years of having them.

I have high flow cats and a new tune to go with them. No problems so far.

Yes, it is possible to throw a code with high flows cats. The tune people get for the CAI usually turn off the rear o2's and that's why no one seems to get CELs with high flow.

With out a tune it will most likely not throw a code, just saying it can happen. BTW I had that midpipe and I liked it a lot. I'm sure with the macs you will be very satisfied-----ENJOY!!!

Quiet the car down compared to what? No cats? Yes, even high flow cats will tame it down some. But they do tend to be a little louder than stock cats.

I have the basanni x with the high flows. I bought it from Brenspeed. I've had them installed for almost 2 years with no Check Engine Light.

I also have no tune. Car is completely stock minus the exhaust system and shifter.
