Predator Hiccup... need help guys...argh
OK... I installed the C&L CAI... no problems there. But, when I went to do the Predator tune, the were no C&L specific tunes in the Predator! Dammit...
So, now I'm trying to download the right tune and I'm not having any luck. Anyone out there got any tips?

I've read several Mag review and what others have said on here...I would say the Xcalibrator is the better option for an 05. Dyno shop perhaps to retune your predator and get a custom program as opposed to a 'boxed' one.

Hey Don, I haven't ordered mine yet but have you checked this page?
http://www.diablosport.com/Downloads..._tunes_C&L.php
I assume you have the PC interface kit since you bought it at RPMOutlet? If so then download the tunes listed on that page assuming everything else checks out with what you have. Then sync it up with the predator and get the tune from your PC to the predator.
Sorry if that was the page you've already had no luck with, but I bookmarked this page in the event that I need it for when I get mine ordered.
Good luck, and install those SLP powerflo's too!

Don, make sure that your serial port is enabled in the BIOS of your computer. The data cable the Predator uses is nothing more than a plain old serial cable. Since serial cables aren't used much anymore, many computers have them disabled in the BIOS. You can check by doing the following:
In Windows XP
Right click "My Computer"
Select "Properties"
Select "hardware"
Then choose "device manager"
Look under "Ports" by clicking the little + symbol.
You should see one or two "communucations port"
These are your serial port/s
Make sure there is not a red X or a yellow exclamation mark on the port.
If there is, it has either the wrong driver, missing driver, or corrupt driver installed.
If you don't see the "communications port" at all, that means Windows can't see it at all which means it is disabled in the BIOS.
If this is the case, shut down your computer and restart and enter the BIOS setup and have a look at the "com port" and enable it.
Hope this helps.

I doubt that this will help much....but....
I have had several down loads of other types, that didn't prompt me to, but I needed to disable my firewall with Norton Internet Security. With it off during the down loads, all went well.
Best of luck !!!

He also makes a good point. Norton Internet Security will also cause problems with ANY sort of communication. I will try not to rant about all the problems this horrible product caused when I was working for Microsoft. But yes, Norton Internet Security will weark havoc with just about any sort of communications.
