Default Adding heated seats to a GT

I have a 05 GT w/ leather, but non-heated seats, and I was thinking about adding them with me going to Germany in 2 days. So, I have started seeing the universal kits that offer the "carbon" heating element, and switches for heat. Some offer Hi/Lo/Off switches, and others offer like 5 position switches. Anyone use these and any reviews, tips, ideas, and what not about them?

Thanks for any help.

i just installed one 2 weeks ago. I bought the deluxe kit from fasttoys.net. The install is very straight forward, wiring is a breeze. Took me and a buddy about 3hrs to do it. Could have done it faster if we wanted but wasnt really in a hurry. The seats heat up in about 3min or less.

I would go for the OEM Ford seat heaters and associated wiring.
Much neater install after its all done.

It cant be OEM unless it interfaces with the CCM.
Is it actually tied into the CCM with the correct
firmware loaded for heated seats? Does it use the
factory Heated Seats Relay location?

the heating elements are oem, not necessarily ford, but they are the same used in many oem applications. The wiring is universal so that it can be used in any car. The relays are built into the wiring kit and they secure out of the way under the seat.

deekum, these do not shut off after so much time, they have a built in thermostat

Deekum, many vehicles shut off after 15 min. My '03 Explorer did, and so did my '04 F150. My '08 F250 stays on however.
