What power steering fluid to use??

Default What power steering fluid to use??

My power steer fluid is almost to the minimum line...... so what fluid should i use??
The manual says to use mercon atf but i live in a small town and i couldnt find any of it!! I found some prestone power steer fluid but idk if i should mix it with the OEM stuff or not?? What should i do??

Mercon ATF is the non-synthetic autotrans fluid,
check the fine print on ATF bottles for one that says
its equal to mercon. If you can still see it in PS reservoir
you should be okay if no leaks. Mine is same way, don't know
where your located but here its cold and all liquid volumes
show lower than normal.

I'm in nevada and it does get pretty cold like 10-20 F at night at this time!!
