Default Window/power question

Took the battery out today because its supposed to dip down to a week HIGH of 0' and I dont want it to freeze. Anyways I realized that after I took it out, the doors were shut and locked. Therefore when I want to put the battery back in I will have to open the door to open the hood. Well obviously I cant use the key fob so I will open it manually. My question is how will the door open. I mean the window retracts into the top of the door, how can I get the door open if it doesnt slide down? Will I need to take that strip off? Thanks

Why don't you just try opening the door and see what happens?

It should open fine, just open slowly and be sure the glass isn't catching the rubber. Don't close it until you have the battery in and you've lowered the window then raised it to be sure it stops in the "drop-down" position.

I would just open it but its stored away and can only see it once a month. I shut the door and completely forgot about the window thing til after the hood got shut so now the hoods shut and the door is completely shut. Im sure ford must have thought about this before they did that with the window. I just want to know if it will open easily next month. F*** my stupid absent mind

Mine has frozen shut a couple times. Just open the door carefully and you'll be OK,

Next time don't close the hood all the way. Just close it until the hook catches.

+2 Opens easily, but make sure you have the battery in before you close it or it won't close properly.
