Default throttle body trouble....HELP

i ordered a bbk 62mm throttle body for xmas, and tried installing it last night.....relatively easy install, however MY CAR WENT INTO LIMP MODE!

after 3-4 tries messing with the spring, i finally gave up and put the stock tb back to avoid problems....

anybody know what i should do?? i just dont understand what happened....thanks

Trash the TB. Had you researched it you would have found that it doesn't do much, if anything, unless you're aspirated and that they're more trouble than they're worth. There have been a LOT of threads about install and drivability problems.

+1

Bigger throttle bodies are practically useless on our motors unless you have FI. I haven't seen many people that haven't had problems with them without a custom tune.

Return it and spend your money on something else.

Thanks for your excellent input as to why you don't support their product.

To the OP, i'm running one but unless your determined it's more trouble than it's worth. I'm also running their LT's, X pipe, and Intake...

For whatever reason they seem to be hit or miss. Never quite understood what it is since there seem to be different fixes to the same problem.

well lets see. i have seen bbk headers with welds that look like they were done by a three year old. countless stories, if you have read them about their tb not working properly on our vehicles. do you need more?

I've had nothing but a good experience with them. Unless you've had a defective product from them yourself I don't really see where you get off knocking their product.
