Hey Guy's and Gal's

Has anyone had there heads CNC ported?
If so what kind of torque gains did you see?
Just looking for a winter project.

Thanks,

I'm no expert... and it may make quite the difference with FI but I haven't seen the results on a NA 3V car to differentiate a major hp increase over the stock heads. JMO.

Even on the 302 PJ engine they only cleaned up the valve area. They didn't see the need to port the stock heads at all!

Livernois Motorsports has some ported heads with oversized vavles. They have videos on Youtube and their website. I checked them out I may go with those instead of the FRPP heads. I'm sure they must help somewhat if Ford sells pre ported heads for our cars through Ford Racing.

I admit, I have seen better results when oversized valves are used. It's just that everything I've seen/heard/read has said that VERY little material can be removed from the ports on the stock 3V castings and all the dyno results from just CNC porting have shown negligible results.

I did. Not sure you'd feel the difference right now BUT it would be a great way to build towards the future if you have big plans! My builder said they flow as good as stage 3 heads, and cost a hell of a lot less.

When you say you did what are you referring too.
Did you get them ported or new heads altogether?

Thanks,

Thanks,
I did the stockers man no need in buying new ones unless your looking for bling in my opinion or if you don't want to pay for install. I did them going on 2 years ago and the car runs great, I'm building up for a twin turbo set up.

Smile I finally gave in!

I was going to go ported heads and an FRPP cam.
Priced it out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bought a polished V3 HO Vortech instead yesterday!
The car will be picked up next week and not driven until the snow is gone
Better rates in the winter.
I guess I'll have to change my signature now!

Groovy!
