Default Check engine light with rough hesitation !!

Ok, so I know a few of us had had some trouble with some sort of hesitation in the past.
I know mine is from a fuel related issue. I'm positive actually that it's the fuel pump.. I tried finding a TSB for it, but to no avail. I think someone posted in the past something about it..

But, story starts about a year ago, when shifting from 5th to 3rd and the car hesitated BAD for a split second.
As in, gripped started to pull hard hesitated and pulled hard again..
Back then there were no performance mods done to the car

Then added a C&L intake and diablo tune 93

Then about a month ago I was in 5th gear about 3500 rpm or so, just cruisin..
All the sudden the car started to feel like it was choking.
I gave it some gas, let off , to try and replicate the problem.. Nothing then..

Two days ago, driving back from the silver springs car show, started again.. chocking and hesitating..

The cake was taken this morning.. Drining to work the car stared to choke badly again and then the check engine light came on..

Got back home, plugged the tuner in, NO CODE !!! wtf ?
So i took it back to stock tune and intake wise and will go to the stealership tomorrow.
This issue was happening before the intake and tune..

Any suggestions ?

Also, anyone know of a fuel pump TSB ? I'd like to get that sucker changed.
thx

so you were "cruisin" from somewhere between 100-120 mph when this problem occurred?

That was then.

now the dreaded engine light and crappy hesitation all the time.. I know it's the fuel pump, i just can't find the damn TSB for it anywhere..

Can't tell, are you auto or manual? I had that happen with an early tune with my auto tranny, but would only occur when shifting 1st to 2nd, and ONLY when I got ahold of some marginal-quality gasoline! It'd throw a code, and actually go into limp mode, I'd pull over, check for codes, wouldn't be any, so would rest it and go on. It would do it often, until I would get good gas, then it quit. Then one time months later I got ahold of some gas out of state and it did it again for awhile until I ran that gas out.

But with no codes showing up when you check it, it sounds to me like tranny codes, if it's an auto.
Any mods we need to know about?

it;s a manual. Had a CAI and diablo 93 oct tune.
I took it to the dealership today. they replaced the fuel pump with the TSB, and the check engine light and small choking had a code but did not show up on my tuner. Showed up for them. The guy said it was a sensor for the cams timing. So I guess the cams got somehow screwed up.
I only used 93 oct BP, Texaco or Chevron.

Anywho the dealership said this was uncommon to that dealership as they had no 05 + pop that code or have those problems. Any ideas on what could have caused this ?

Many people have gotten a cam code before, most times it never came back after clearing it while other have had to have the dealer fix it. I cant remember what exactly the code detail was or how to fix it though.

Are you within 10k miles of needing a new fuel filter?
