Default headlight advice

a while ago i had all lights blacked out, well i guess the painter didnt understand instructions of not to paint headlights, and he did. well at night its darn near impossible to see. i like the black look but what would be ideal? i found some black backing on autodynamics but was wondering what anyone else would recommend? i dont care for the housing with 2 small lights, cant think of the name offhand, but any other ideas

do you have pictures of your current ones? i'm curious to see how they were painted. I dont blame you about not wanting the two small ones(projectors) as they just look out of place. I am using a product from www.rockblocker.com and love them.

How about putting some fogs/driving lights behind the grill?

it wasnt meant to be, he just got a little paint happy and went all out. now im looking to replace the lights, i thought about the HID conversation kit from stangmods.com but i believe from the looks of it, you still use your factory lights and housing, which does me no good. so basically im looking for a set of factory style lights to just put in or somethign similar, except for the projecter lights, dont care for them. steeda makes a set of housing+HID but for $1000. quite a bit more than i wanted to spend. I was hoping somebody has an idea where to find a set of factory style or similar. CJponyparts and autodynamic has them, but not sure if there OEM quality or not. thanks for checkin this out and for help. as you can imagine, driving at night w/ brights on is still a chore

I would get a set of takeoffs maybe...shouldnt be too expensive. projectors are the only aftermarket light that replaces the entire housing that i know of.

If you do some HID's, they might be bright enough to bring the painted housings back to stock brightness... just a thought.
