Talking Ol'blues catching a brake!!

I'm upgrading Ol'blues brakes this week. The last trip to the track got us a new PB but it didn't quite get it where I wanted it. While we ran a 9.15 @ 149 (I screwed up my shift to 2nd and ran out of gear at the end) it didn't get us in the 8's. I'm pretty certain the car will run an 8 as it sits (if I'll drive her right LOL)......but I've always been one to like a little insurance!

I'm upgrading the brakes this week to cut a Little weight out of the car! So it's going to be new Aerospace all around!!

These are considerably lighter then the stock brakes!

While these are nothing you want to take on a road course by any means I have been assured that they will also work on the street. However, I'm not quite ready to throw away my other brakes just yet!!

Ol'blue is getting close....I can feel it!

I just need a little more weight off the front I think. Honestly, as I said earlier, If I had driven the car right I would have possibly had an 8 last weekend. I did make a pass at a top speed of 155mph so the power is there.

This Friday is looking promising with even cooler temps! The 9.15 pass was made in 72 degree air, I'll be it dryer then normal for Houston.

I'm just trying to give my self a little more advantage before then with these brakes!

Well got the front brakes completed! The back brakes will have to wait till next week as Aerospace sent the wrong bracket.

I'll be bleeding the brakes and prepping the car for the track today! Weather is suppose to be decent tonight (low 60's high 50's).

The wheel was just placed up there so it isn't centered by the lugs......but you get the idea!
