Default Close call is an understatement Pics/Vids up

So on the way home from hockey and one of my favortie back windy roads, im going a little faster and i mean 5mph faster than normal safe driving and i come around a corner and just that fast the back end blast out from under me. I over compensaated and when it came around whip right around on me i ended up going backwards. At the bottom of this hill was a healty ditch. While spining i missed the ditch by inches and missed deepest part going back wards by about a foot where i stoped. It just packed the left exhaust pipe solid with mud. (good thing i have new exhaust on the way)

Im gonna go back tomorro and take some pics or may be a play by play video tomorro. I was soooooooooo f'in lucky.

Any way, the back of the car hit kind of hard but i think the tires hit not the body, there were no signs of scrapes on the bumper and it drove fine on the way home. Should i take it in and be safe id rather not mess anything up. Where i hit wasn't bad but rather safe than sorry. I know the exhaust took a good shot but it flowed just as well as the right side once i got it clear

Cold road+too much salt+cold tires= new pair of underware

First things first - glad you and your car are ok!

Secondly...I can't remember why I live in the desert...oh, wait a minute! Now I do!

Take it to a friendly mechanic if you must, but otherwise, I would just count your blessings and install that new exhaust!

I play for IUP my college.

Yeah i had like an out of body moment just seeing that ditch get closer and closer. i always see it and think damn, that would suck to slide in. sliding in backwards never crossed my mind haha.

Im assuming the whole drivetrain back there has to be kind of strong so im really thinking there no damage, once i got it out there was not mud or clear damage just some light snow, Nothing like hard packed snow stuff any there just the muffler had mud in/on it.

Yeah everything melted today so i drove just a hair and i mean barley faster than normal carefully driving around sharp corners in winter and it was a left turn and i went in the other lane knowing is was safe to apex the turn and when i came out i guess where the median would be was just all lose salt and bam. But hey now i know, no apexing till summer haha

i can not wait to graudate and move south or atleast where i don't need to worry about salt/snow
