Default mixing brands.

hey this might be a silly question, but I'm new to the Mustang scene. (use to be an import owner... dont hate on me =P ) Anyways. Is it "bad" to mix brands on my mustang. example: steeda strut bar, shelby fuse box cover, roush something else, saleen something... etc...

*i used the word "bad" cause i couldn't think of a better word... I'm sure you understand what i mean.

sorry if i'm being a noob =P

I would say no. The more you change things up, the more I think it makes it unique and your own.

I would draw the line, though, at mixing things that actually have the stamp of the brand on it. You don't one thing to literally say "Roush" and another to say "Saleen".

Others will probably disagree, but that's my stance.

That's the cool thing about having a Mustang. You can mix and match things to get the look your after.

I agree with the whole badging thing. It's totally fine to mix things up, like say get a Roush spoiler with some Saleen 1/4 window trim and a California Special bumper etc etc... Once you get things that have the name on them, I would steer clear of mixing it in that way. I don't think it's ridiculous to say have a full cap set under the hood say Shelby on it but have a Roush shift **** or something, but don't mix things that are right next to each other you know?

+1 on the badge mixing, but other than that everything else should pretty much work together. I would check on some items, just to be safe. Like a clutch/flywheel combo I would probably stick with the same mfg, but suspension components should be ok for the most part. The biggest thing is don't try to put any GM parts on your Ford, I have heard that doesn't work too well.
