Default 20in wheel/tire question(s)

I know these wheel/tire threads have been beat to death recently but after searching for awhile and not finding what i was looking for i am going to hammer it into the ground a little more. After much deliberation between 18s and 20s and this wheel style over that wheels style, I'm researching tires for a set of 20in wheels i'm about to order. 20x8.5 front, 20x10 rear. I have seen a couple guys running 255/35 up front and 295/35 rear. The fronts are very affordable but the rear size costs way more. What other sizes would be a good fit? I'm also looking for a decent wet traction tire that wont go hydroplaning on me (i've had bad experiences in the past). I seem to have forgot my other question, it will come up when i think of it.

this forum is just so redundant...but anyways. I'm running bfgoodrich Gforce KDW's all the way around with a 275/35/20 out back. the wet traction is very good with these tires i think.

What are the prices of the tires your looking at? You might be better off asking the best place to buy those tires at the cheapest price. I buy mine at

http://www.4wd.com/
I'm paying $181/tire for a 295/40/20

[QUOTE=paydirt;5900492]this forum is just so redundant...QUOTE]

i can't argue with that

I've been looking at discount tire and tire rack.

I'll have to look into the 275s. They sound like a great alternative to 295s.

Thanks guys for taking the time to help me with such a worn out topic.

You can run up to 285/45/20 in the rear FYI without rubbing, being lowered 1.2 inches. this will ride just as comfortably as an 18" set of wheels and hook up great.
