Default New CDC Ducktail!

..so I've wanted this mod for a good 2-3 years now and I'm proud to say I finally got it done tonight! Took a good 2-3 hours (and I still have a few things left) but for the most part, all done! The process was a little grueling but the outcome is well worth all of it. With that said.. can someone direct me as to how to unplug the 3rd brake light??

I think all you have to do is take off the big plastic part of the trunk where the locking mechanism is. I havent done it nor actually looked at it. And just unplug I would assume...

Looks great! I knew I wanted one when I ordered my car, spoiler delete ftw!

edit: What John said.
I believe the you need to remove the black over around the latch area inside the trunk to disconnect. The bodyshop took care of that for me when they installed and painted the back of the trunk.

I don't know where you live, but in PA we have to have the 3rd brake like. It wont pass inspection. DO you have plans for one?

CDC sells a 3rd brake light relocation kit. It's a light that mounts on the inside of the rear window along the top.

^+1 I'm from CA but I don't believe the 3rd brake light is mandatory.. if it is the relocation light is always an option!

dont quote me on this but i'm pretty sure 3rd brake lights are mandatory in all 50 states. Not a big deal though, thats an easy fix. I'd look into it though cuz it'd suck if someone rear ended you and then sued you because you didnt have the 3rd brakelight and they claim thats why they didnt stop in time. Just a thought

Looks great! I've been wanting one for a while also. I can't wait for my tax money to come in so i can pick this bad boy up. Did you buy it painted or did you have a shop do it?
