Default Smoked taillights

I had my guys at the body shop at work tint my taillights, 3rd brake light and marker lamps the other day. Took a few crappy pics a few mins ago, turned out better in person than they did in the pics!

I'll take some better ones tomorrow after I get thru installying my delete plates and Zex kit!

They look good. What did they use to tint them with?

They use clear and a few drops of black paint to dilute it. It looks darker in person than it does in the pictures because of the flash of the camera!

OK until someone slams you in the rear end cuz' they couldn't see your brake lights on a sunny day. I like the look but would never do this mod for that reason. JMO

ok, ive been trying to tint my lights myself with the spray stuff, but ive had the worst luck. ive already ruined one pair of lights. i tried again on a new set, and they seemed to come out okay, but they are flat black. what steps can i take to make them shiny and glossy-looking?

they make a clear spray to go over that that should shine them up for you

If someone rear ends you during the day, they aren't paying attention. I've had blacked out tails for 4 years now(mustang and prior car) and have never had an issue.

that being said, yours look good!
