07 GT trailer hitch ( your thoughts)

Im thinking about geting a hitch put on my 07 GT . Anybody got one ? A local shop tells me the only one available is a1500 lb. but I think that would be enough to pull my bike on a trailer or my aluminum boat. Would I need air shocks ?
