Default Back from Service

So my car is back from Service.

I used Motorcraft 5w 40 since is the only syntethic that Motorcraft sell here in Mexico. The stealership called and said that rear brakes will last just 5000kms if i want to change them, i told them not.

Do you know if brakes like these ones will last 30 000kms ?

Im thinking on taking the pony with someone i trust to check them and then see what he said.

I have over 82,000 miles on mine and still have the stock pads on it. Depends on your driving habits.

Well mine is 30000kms and is running as new LOL.

Well this means that the stealership is lying and my rear breaks pads should be fine ?

Thanks

Typically you'll need front pads before you need rear pads. So if you haven't replaced the front ones and they haven't told you that you need to, they're probably trying to squeeze you for money.

Try Hawk ceramic high performance pads, they cure a lot of braking ills like pulling left or right, and last a long time. I have them on my car and they work great. Much better braking than stock.

I suppose I'm in for a shock when it comes time to replace brake pads on the Stang. All 6 of my Toyotas averaged about 120,000 miles per axle on pads.

I thought if you use ceramic pads on regular rotors you could warp the rotors (thats what i was told anyway).
