Default Got into an accident

Well today was the day for my baby to get into her accident. No one was hurt in both cars so that was good .9000 miles just put on and got into the first accident. I was pulling out of school and was stopped and waiting for the light to turn green when one of the kids i know driving a 84 pontiac smacked into the back of me and hit my bumper and basicall thats whats messed up and the exhaust is pushed towards the front of the car. its ghettto rigged for now with zip loc ties so it doesnt rattle but part of the bumper popped out and i definately need a new one. There was a cop there who saw the whole thing and he was at 100 percent fault so everything will go through his insurance but its just a really upsetting incident and i just want her fixed. its dark now so ill get pics up tomorrow.

Glad to hear everyone is okay. It sounds like my daughters' first accident, she was rear ended leaving school. The damage may be less than it looks like. She needed a new bumper and bracket for the exhaust. It was about $450. We left the insurance company out of it. The kid that hit her paid for it. Often when you use the insurance, it will be reported to CarFax which can affect your resale value and your insurance tends to increase (even though they say it doesn't, they find another reason.)

I got hit a week or two ago, same situation, stopped outside school parking lot and the girl behind me kept going.
Im getting a gt/cs bumper out of it for very cheap, but ive got the same problem with my right side exhaust, and ive been having a little slipping that allstate wont pay to look into, even though it happened right after the accident, and my car was at ford to be looked at less then 500 miles prior.
