I was in the exact same situation as you are. Just got my car back from the shop. I really wanted to get the Trufiber GTS III hood if the hood needed to be replaced. The body shop was able to repair the original hood, so insurance obviously wouldn't pay for a new hood. If money isn't an object though, I would go with the Trufiber GTS III.

Yea...money's not a problem. I have to spend $500 if I repair my stock hood, so a few extra dollars to get and aftermarket hood isnt a problem.

I would go with the Trufiber GTS III edges are to sharp on the GT 500 KR hood. Second you have to think of the whole picture although you might get the aftermarket hood for a few hundred more it is going to cost a lot more in labor to get installed. I can tell you I'm having mine done now, my hood arrived in great shape but still required about a days shop time to prep and get right for paint.

Yeah, I don't know what you consider a few extra dollars, but for me insurance paid about $600 to fix my stock hood. It would have been about $1600 to get an aftermarket hood done. They have to prep and paint the hood, then have to paint the fenders to make sure everything matches. Like I said earlier though, go for it if you have the cash. I would have really liked to have another hood, but I just couldn't spend the extra to have it done.
