Default Hey now

Gene here,
my 1st post, been looking for a late model mustang,
and really plan to be in one soon if not sooner
I've made a few offers that were accepted that I backed out of for good reasons.
Anyway just thought I'd chime in and get involved rather than snoop around.
My 1st offer was on a 09 CS, BTW I am a A-Plan employee.
They accepted 1K under A-Plan along with the 2k rebate here on the 09's
2nd offer different dealer was on a 08 GT $1500 under A-Plan + $3500 rebate.
Both of these deals fell through due to damage on both cars after a better look.
I've also made an offer on a used 07 with 3400 miles that is done, as in
SC, lowered, shifter, tires rims, headers full exhaust, HD clutch.....
Still waiting word back from this dealer?
The 07 is by far a real steal of a deal other than the color, for me.
My plan was to build my own but the 07 is new condition and making 534hp
at the flywheel...
Yep times are tuff for dealers, it's a buyers market!
If the 07 dont work out I got my eye on a 08 Bullitt
Anyway just thought I'd say HELLO to all and share my findings.
Gene

i guess it kind of depends on what kind of 'damage' the others have. and, with the '07, the likelihood that someone with a 500+ hp car hasn't 'hot-rodded' it (if you know what i mean ) is very low; personally, i'd be a little leery with that one.

if it was me, i'd go with the cs (if the damage isn't too high) or the bullitt. anywho, welcome to the forums and good luck

Yeah as long as you take your time and look, you'll be able to find whatever one you want. It's better to buy used cars bone stock or close to it for this is a better chance that said person hasn't, hot rodded as said above. I've found 3 great deals but am unable to move on them due to me not being able to sell my car.

Welcome to MF. I wonder why the previous owner sold the 07? If you could find out who owned it and talk to him. But it is risky. You don't make 534hp to drive to church on Sunday. Good luck anyway.

Yea, the previous owner who dropped all that
non retreivable cash into it and then dumped it?
Talk to him and get the story. Modded vehicles are
Rodded vehicles most of the time. Little old ladies
who only drive to church on sunday dont own SCs.
And whom did all this work and was it done right.
Why the reason to stuff her full of cash to just sell her?
Things that make you go Hmmmmmm.....

and remember to the flywheel is irrelevant, you can have all the power in the world, if it doesn't go to the ground it doesn't matter

FWIW the 07 was built by a local speed shop, they have done several
for this dealer.
And what I was told the guy traded it back in to them for a GT500.
Does TKO ring a bell for anyone, The GT fender badge is replaced with TKO.

Anyway I might add as of today there is a brand new Bullitt sittin in my shop.
This is the Mustang I wanted other than a $GT500$ but the wife wanted a red one.
I was fine with red also but every red one had issues, which worked for me
I cant get over how slick this Bullitt looks, it also runs and drives
better than any of the GT's I test drove, needless to say I'm very happy!
So it's a new 2008 MSRP 32,390 and I paid 27,377 this price came from
the $1500 under A-Plan that I offered
They also just came out with a $4500 rebate which I did not take, I chose
the 72 month 0%
Now to find the cash for all the mods.....
BTW this is my 5th Mustang and my 1st S-197
