Don't scare me like that man! I just ordered a hood scoop and told them it was performance white code hp. After reading your message I ran out to my car to check and it was hp. About to give me a heart attack lol

Ford touch-up paint never matches. Picked up some Torch Red paint and it was much darker then the car.

To be honest, I don't think it was mud. However I have no idea what it could have been. It came right off once I used detailing spray, but still it left its "mark of love".

You could try http://www.paintscratch.com

I have never used their red paint, just their High Performance White. Red is a difficult color to match, but it might be worth a try if you are not satisfied with Ford paint.

I used them before and its pretty good paint. However I just realized I did get the wrong white Oh well, it isn't that bad for now...as long as the metal isn't exposed and the undercoat isn't showing. I left a message for a friend to see how much it would cost to get that taken care of, plus the hood pins install (don't trust myself).

Talked to my friend, he said it would usually cost ~$400 to fix :/ However he will help me out for ~$200. I can't believe something so small can cost so much... :/

Too bad I can't make the paint bullet proof :/

If you sand the paint down and prep it for paint yourself it should cost maybe $100. Ford is painting my full rear bumper for less then $200 i believe, but its cheap because it comes ready to paint i think.

Do you know of any good how to? What is the minimum temperature it should be when doing this? It is currently 41F in NJ, but its nice and sunny.
