Default Non squealing burnout?

Have a supercharger just installed, and it is hard to get traction thru 1st and 2nd. After watching my youtube video, a friend asked "isn't that thing powerful enough to break the tires lose?" Ummm, well, yes it is!

But I had no tire squealing at all going on on several different surfaces, and even once looked and know left marks on pavement, but I don't recall hearing and the vid camera outside the car picked up nothing but engine roar... which isn't all bad LOL.

So, my main question is, with the temps in the hi 20's lo 30's, would that explain why no squawking going on?

At :45 and 1:25 it kicked sideways a bit, and at 4:26 I spun thru 1 & 2, leaving light marks. I remember looking at them to see how much space between shifts. Now I know I never sat and spun, but still. Oh, and these are basically brand new Nitto 555's

After thought: I guess what really irritates me is those darn Duke boys squealing on all types of surfaces, including grass LOL

some tires can do that. probably means they are too hard. get stickier tires


wait... I may retract that... i cant remember if hard or soft tires like to squeek..... but one does, and one doesnt as much. those are nittos so.... is it cold where ur at? nittos can stiffen up alot in colder weather, and I know I dont get much noise out of them. but in the summer on my 555R's I get squeaks on every 1-2 shift that i hit hard

It's the cold weather man.

Mine does the same thing and I hate it. I don't get as much traction as when it is warm either. I'll spin all the way through first and there is only a faint whisper of the tires spinning. I miss the nice hearty bark into second gear of summertime.
There have been a few days in the upper-60's and 70's lately and the tire squealing returns. Just wait a month or two.

Kinda figured it was due to cold, but I am not smart enough to actually know why LOL

Oh well, will have to redo that video whenever the heck it warms up here so viewers get the full effect.... can't have folks going around thinking this baby can't break em lose!

Like the rest of us who live in the mid-west, you just need to wait for things to warm up! It still has to feel great to have all that extra power under the hood even though you can't get any traction due to everything being "froze".

Ive noticed i dont get any squealing in my stock setup with the perellis. Just kinda skips (wheel hop?) and takes off.

Pre SC and with stock Pirellis, I had squeal. What you need there sir is some LCA's (lower control arms). Gets rid of at least most of the wheel hop. Well worth it.

I dont get much squeal with the Pirellis; I can feel them spin and slip, but they dont' make a lot of noise. The Z-rated Pirelli's are perhaps a little hard for loud squealiing.
With stock/softer V6 tires, I would get more tire chirping/squealing, but those were much softer tires.

Several things play into it. The compound of the tire, the temperature of the pavement, and the speed of the tire spinning.

here's mine - burn-out - and you can hear a little tire squeal in the beginning, but not much. then at the end when i let off and the tires slower down, they started to squeal. i think it has a lot to do with tire speed. mine was a 2nd gear burnout, so the tires were moving pretty quickly.
